We get asked what are the COVID restrictions or guidance specific to Maui, Hawaii. The biggest difference is in late April (no date provided as of yet) Maui will implement a second test upon arrival (post-arrival test).
This will be a Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAAT), same as you take before departure. The pre-travel testing program is still in effect. The Big Island has been requiring a post-arrival test since November 2020.
We ask visitors to wear your mask when in public and respect social distancing rules, as it is the law and it is polite. Watch our other #shorts for COVID restrictions for each Hawaiian Island (4 counties).
