Maui has started their post-arrival test. On arrival, visitors will be required to complete a second COVID antigen rapid test. The test is intended to prevent the introduction of new COVID-19 variants.
CORRECTION: there is nothing "new" about the rapid antigen test. It is a common rapid antigen test.

- This “soft opening” is a test on the process. Maui Mayor Michael Victorino said, “We wanted to test-drive our logistics plan in real-life before finalizing operations. Our goal is to make the post-arrival test as quick and hassle-free as possible.”
