Have you tried stand-up paddleboarding? Might as well give it a go when visiting Hawaii. On Maui, you can have a relaxing day on the water with the chance of whale sightings.
Whale watching from shore, boat, or sailboat is the popular thing to do during Maui’s whale season. Try something different by going out on a stand-up paddleboard. Guided tours are available to head a safe distance from shore for a slightly closer look at the humpback whales.
I got lucky as there were whales all around me on my SUP day out, and they kept a safe distance from me. Reminder to keep a safe distance of 100-yards or more, don’t go too far from shore, and never attempt to chase or follow the whales.
