Featuring Julia Sorenson, Creative Director of Honolulu Design Center
Born and raised in Reno, Nevada by Danish parents who immigrated to the US in the 80’s. After finishing high school in Reno, I got my BA from the University of San Diego in 2014, and then went on to get my MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2017. Currently, I am the Creative Director at the Honolulu Design Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. I was introduced to art and design by my father, founder of the Honolulu Design Center, at a very young age. It was always something that interested me, and after going to college and falling in love with all of my art classes, I knew that was my path.
