Kimo Lauer grew up in Honolulu where he discovered his passion for the visual arts. He received several Scholarships to the Honolulu Academy of Arts summer programs until he was a senior in high school.
There he attended Otis/Parson School of Art and Design and began his successful photography career. For the past 25 years, he was based in Hollywood, while also traveling the world on assignment photographing models, actors, artists, athletes, and others. His recent return to his Island home has him excited to further expand his vision, collaborate with fellow artists, and share his mana’o and passion with the next generation of aspiring artists here in his beloved Hawai’i Nei.
